CHÂTEAU MOULIN DU CADET 2009
SAINT-EMILION - GRAND CRU CLASSE
Grape : Merlot 100%.
Dress : Dress of a deep ruby color.
Tasting notes : The nose, of a great seduction, develops a subtle game between the scents of red fruits, chocolate, sweet spices, toasted bread and candied fruits. The palate is powerful, generous and rich, it is built on fat tannins, fleshy and long. The set has a lot of relief. The frank attack is prolonged on a refined matter, a true aromatic complexity and a sensation, in final, of great freshness, which expresses the minerality of the calcareous soil.
History : Château Moulin du Cadet is ideally situated on the Cadet hill at the entrance to Saint-Emilion. This 2.85-hectare Cru Classé exploits clayey limestone soils on the Saint-Emilion plateau with Merlot uniquely.
Moulin du Cadet wines were historically sought after, winning a gold medal at the Paris universal exhibition in 1867. Château Moulin du Cadet is 100% organic since 2002
Managed by Alain Moueix until 2015.
The wines produced display no heaviness and are elegant with tannins that are always very silky.
