Wine making : Manual harvest. Vinification in stainless steel vats. Ageing in barrels for 12 to 16 months (25% new barrels).
Tasting note : Deep crimson color. Aromatic nose‚ with black fruit aromas‚ plum and liquorice. The wine shows characte in taste‚ with medium-body structure and is slightly spicy. Ready to drink.
History : Château Lamothe Bergeron is located near the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation, in Cussac en Médoc village; in the area LA MOTHE meaning "nice plateau". The south facing vineyard dates back to 1706 and its benchmark wine production back to the early 19th century. The estate was classified Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 2003. Production: 240,000 bottles (estimated)
