Ch Cardinal is located in Montagne St-Emilion - the most prestigious satellite of St-Emilion. The just over 9Ha of vineyards are mainly planted with Merlot which brings body and fruitiness, Cabernet Sauvignon adding structure and freshness, while Cabernet Franc adds aromatic complexity.
Tasting note
Deep ruby colour, with ripe fruit on the nose and a mellow, lightly tannic structure with spicy notes. A full-bodied, well-balanced wine with a seductive finish.
Matching food
Grilled steak (entrecote). Goes well with hard cheeses like parmigiano.
